Tatratea Hibiscus & Red Tea 37% - an explosion of flavors in one bottle.

Tatratea Hibiscus & Red Tea 37% is one of the sweeter versions of Tatratea. In addition to the classic blend of herbal extracts, roots, and fruits, it features red tea with hibiscus and slightly tart, cherry notes that delicately balance its sweetness. The dominant aroma and taste are of red tea with sweet hints of dates and crème brulee. Spicy undertones reminiscent of mulled wine add a touch of complexity to the overall composition.

Tatratea Hibiscus & Red Tea 37% is a liqueur designed for dessert. It can be enjoyed over ice cubes to fully develop its rich bouquet. Cocktails made with this liqueur retain the flavor of red tea and its dessert-like spiced aromas. The violet-pink, metallic bottle makes for an elegant gift, especially for ladies.

How was Tatratea Hibiscus & Red Tea 37% created?

The name Tatratea first appeared on the market in 2008; previously, the liqueur was known as "Tatranský čaj". The final recipe for the base version, Tatratea Original 52%, was established in 2003, but the tradition of crafting herbal-fruit liqueurs in the Slovakian Tatras dates back to the early days of Tatra tourism in the 19th century.

Each mountain shelter had its own mysterious recipe for liqueur, which was often added to tea for frozen tourists—hence the name "Tatra tea". Today, the brand is owned by the family-owned Karloff Distillery.

Tatratea is bottled in decorative matte-colored glass bottles with motifs inspired by the highlander culture, and the bottle shape resembles a hiking thermos. Currently, Tatratea is produced in 14 flavor variations, ranging from 17% to 72% alcohol content. It is made from molasses alcohol, Assam tea, and natural macerates.

Tatratea has won numerous prestigious awards at competitions and trade fairs across Europe, Asia, and America, recognizing both its excellent quality and the distinctive, eye-catching bottle design.

Ingredients:

  • 40ml Tatratea Hibiscus & Red Tea 37%
  • 40ml pineapple juice
  • 30ml rose syrup
  • a few dried currants
  • 60ml favorite fruity or mint tea
  • semi-dry Prosecco
  • ice

Preparation:

Mix the liqueur with juice, syrup, and currants. Pour into a tall glass filled with ice and top up with good quality semi-dry Prosecco, such as Corvezzo Prosecco Extra Dry.
