Tatratea Forest Fruit 62% – exceptionally essence-rich liqueur with forest fruit notes.

Tatratea Forest Fruit 62% is a high-alcohol liqueur - 62%, characterized by an exceptionally concentrated aroma and flavor. It is based on the classic Tatratea with a black tea flavor. Tatratea liqueurs are made from high-quality alcohol from molasses, Indian black tea Assam, and 27 ingredients including cloves, lemon balm, cinnamon, and St. John's wort.

Herbal and fruit macerates, blended with alcohol and oak chips, age in stainless steel tanks for 8 months and are double-filtered before bottling. Tatratea Forest Fruit 62% distinguishes itself with a dark color and intense forest fruit notes, primarily berries. Due to its high alcohol content, it is best served over large ice cubes and is also an excellent cocktail ingredient.

How Tatratea Forest Fruit 62% Came to Be?

The name Tatratea first appeared on the market in 2008; previously, the liqueur was known as "Tatranský čaj". The final recipe for the base version Tatratea Original 52% was developed in 2003, but the tradition of producing herbal-fruit liqueurs in the Slovak Tatra Mountains dates back to the beginning of Tatra tourism in the 19th century.

Each mountain shelter had its own mysterious recipe for a liqueur used to warm up frozen tourists' tea, hence the name "Tatra tea". The brand is currently owned by the family company Karloff Distillery.

Tatratea is bottled in decorative bottles made of matte, colored glass with a highlander motif, and the bottle shape resembles a hiking thermos. Currently, Tatratea is produced in 14 flavor versions ranging from 17% to 72% alcohol content. It is based on molasses spirit, Assam tea, and natural macerates.

Tatratea has won numerous prestigious awards at competitions and trade fairs across Europe, Asia, and America, recognizing both the excellent quality of the liqueur and its unique, striking bottle design.

Fill a tall glass with ice. Add liqueur, syrup, lemon juice, and apple. Mix well. Top up with ginger cider or ginger beer, and it's ready!
