Tatratea Outlaw 72% - a Slovak specialty in its strongest form.

Tatratea Outlaw 72% - this dark, matte bottle shaped like a thermos contains an exceptionally strong and rich liqueur with an alcohol content of 72%. This version is based on the classic Tatratea Original.

In addition to its increased strength, Tatratea Outlaw is distinguished by 20% less sugar compared to the original version and the addition of cinchona bark extract, which gives it a pronounced bitterness. Tatratea Outlaw contains 27 ingredients, including extracts from herbs, spices, oak chips, and the flavor is centered around excellent black Assam tea from India.

Tatratea liqueurs mature for 8 months in oak barrels and undergo double filtration. Due to its high alcohol content, Tatratea Outlaw 72% can be enjoyed with a splash of water, which not only softens the relatively sharp taste but also brings out the spicy and fruity notes.

How was Tatratea Outlaw 72% created?

The name Tatratea first appeared on the market in 2008; before that, the liqueur was known as "Tatranský čaj". The final recipe for the base version, Tatratea Original 52%, was established in 2003, but the tradition of crafting herbal-fruit liqueurs in the Slovakian Tatras dates back to the beginnings of Tatra tourism in the 19th century.

Each mountain shelter had its own secret recipe for liqueur, which was often added to tea for cold tourists—hence the name "Tatra tea". Today, the brand is owned by the family-run Karloff Distillery.

Tatratea is bottled in decorative matte-colored glass bottles with highlander motifs, and the bottle itself resembles a hiking thermos. Currently, Tatratea is produced in 14 flavor variations, ranging from 17% to 72% alcohol content. It is made from molasses alcohol, Assam tea, and natural macerates.

Tatratea has already won dozens of prestigious awards at competitions and trade fairs in Europe, Asia, and America, where it was praised for both the excellent quality of the liqueur and the unique, striking design of the bottle.
