Ardbeg Vintage Y2K 23YO is an ultra-rare limited edition of twenty-three-year-old single malt whisky, sold in decorative 0.7L bottles and exceptionally ornate boxes. This particular Ardbeg whisky was created as a tribute to the period when the fate of the Islay distillery was hanging in the balance. Produced from some of the first distillates of the new millennium, this whisky embodies the smoky character and peaty heritage of this renowned distillery. For the Ardbeg distillery, it was a significant year for another reason. After years of neglect and nearing complete shutdown, the distillery was rescued by The Glenmorangie Company in 1997. However, it wasn't until 2000 that Ardbeg began its renaissance, and Ardbeg Vintage Y2K honors that moment. Distilled in a historic still that had been operational for 51 years, Ardbeg Vintage Y2K 23YO is whisky for true connoisseurs. Its aromas and flavors reflect the intensity and uniqueness of the spirit, whose creation coincided with the symbolic beginning of the new millennium.
