San Lino Carta Oro Rum – the classic elegance of Cuban style.

San Lino Carta Oro is an authentic Cuban golden rum that reflects the characteristic style of rum production in the Caribbean. It is made from high-quality sugar cane grown in the central part of Cuba – a region long valued for its excellent climatic conditions supporting its cultivation. The history of Cuban rum dates back to the mid-19th century, when the rapid development of sugar cane plantations led to the establishment of the first distilleries on the island and shaped a style that is now recognized worldwide.

One of the places particularly associated with this tradition is the San Lino region, located in the heart of the island and considered one of the best “terroirs” for producing high-quality sugar cane. It is from this place that the inspiration for San Lino rum originates, whose production is based on respect for local heritage and precise control of every stage of the spirit’s creation.

The rum is distilled in column stills and then aged for about 3 years in white oak barrels. This stage gives it its characteristic golden color, a more complex structure, and a subtle depth of aromas. At the same time, it retains the elegance and balance typical of Cuban rums, which have long been regarded as some of the most refined interpretations of this spirit in the Caribbean region.

Mixology and cocktails using San Lino Carta Oro golden rum.

The smooth and slightly barrel-aged character of San Lino Carta Oro rum makes it an excellent base for many classic cocktails. Its delicate sweetness along with notes of vanilla and caramel works perfectly in compositions such as:

• Cuba Libre – pour 50 ml of San Lino Carta Oro rum into a tall glass with ice, top up with cola and add juice from a quarter of a lime. Stir gently and garnish with a slice of lime.
• Golden Daiquiri – combine 50 ml of San Lino Carta Oro rum, 25 ml of lime juice and 15 ml of sugar syrup in a shaker. Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
• Rum Old Fashioned – in an old fashioned glass combine 50 ml of San Lino Carta Oro rum, 5 ml of sugar syrup and 2–3 dashes of bitters. Add ice and stir, then garnish with an orange peel.
• Planter’s Punch – mix 45 ml of San Lino Carta Oro rum, 30 ml of orange juice, 15 ml of lime juice and 10 ml of sugar syrup in a shaker. Shake with ice and serve in a tall glass.
