Braeval 26 Year Old Secret Speyside II is an exceptional single malt whisky from the Braeval distillery (formerly Braes of Glenlivet), presented as part of the Secret Speyside II collection by Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard). The maturation lasted a full 26 years, carried out exclusively in first-fill American oak barrels – barrels made of American oak that were used for the first time, with no other spirit aged in them before.

It is worth mentioning that the Braeval distillery is located at about 356 m above sea level, making it one of the highest distilleries in Scotland. The distillery uses pure water from the Preenie Well source, and its tall yet delicate distillation columns (stills) favor obtaining a light, floral character of the distillate.
